  • Overview

    This position is responsible in assisting prep, execution and clean up of meals at the Sports Science Center.  They will work within the nutrition area to provide high quality meals in an organized, clean environment making sure all players and staff are taken care of each days.  In addition to their daily responsibilities at the Sports Science Center they are also responsible for preparing meals for a player and his family.  The personal chef will prepare meals at the players house on request.



    • Prepare meals for player and his family at the discretion of player.  
    • Following dietary guidelines set forth by team dietitian to maximize player care. 
    • Record – and keep track of all expenditure related to meals outside of facilities. 
    • Receiving and putting away of food orders.
    • Collaborating with Dietitian/Chef on menu development.
    • Executing opening and closing checklists for daily service at SSC.
    • Quality control of food service production.
    • Maintaining clean and organized food storage and prep areas.
    • Executing food service for breakfast, lunch and dinner at the direction of the Chef/Dietitian.
    • Ensure kitchen operates in a timely manner off guidelines set by Team Chef at SSC
    • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers, basketball operations staff and players.




    • Minimum 8 years kitchen experience.
    • Prior personal chef experience preferred
    • Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
    • Familiar with industries best practices.
    • Accuracy and speed in handling emergency situations and providing solutions.
    • May have to travel internationally for extended periods of time in off season (May-Aug).
