Position Summary:

The Production Manager will be responsible for the production team and to set a plan in motion to execute the show as per the show rider and the agreed terms in the contract.  The Production Manager will adhere to a budget to ensure all costs are being tracked and monitored.  This position will supervise all production staff and union contract to ensure all obligations are being met. 


Position Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate safe, consistent operation across all shows and events.
  • Partner with the Event Manager for advancing all concerts and events as well as scheduling the appropriate number of staff while maintaining labor costs within the assigned budgetary guidelines.
  • Maintain regular communication with the Administrative Associate for IATSE Local 18.
  • Facilitate proper company and interdepartmental communication.
  • Liaison between production staff and the tour to ensure all production needs are met and the contract is being adhered to.
  • Responsible for solving any production issues that may arise at any given point during the load-in, performance and load-out.
  • Set a workable budget for the show and make sure all the expenses are being tracked and are within the limits of spending.
  • Coordinate all aspects of production including but not limited to; load in, setup, performance, strike, load out as well as various assignments as required by the event.
  • Responsible for show settlement after the show concluded for all production staff.
  • Handle training employees, planning, assigning, and advising work, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
  • Provides clear, concise and timely communication of directives to production staff.
  • Ensure that working conditions are safe and that employees are following company safety procedures.
  • Ensure all seasonal employees fairly, maintaining a professional and encouraging work environment while following up on work assignments given to crew.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university preferred.
  • 3-5 years of related work experience.
  • Working knowledge of technical aspects of concert production.
  • Ability to build and maintain budgets for events.
  • Previous management experience with an emphasis on resolution management.
  • Works well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience interpreting event contracts and developing accurate production budgets.
  • Must be very flexible to work long hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Having a solid understanding of OSHA safety regulations and procedures.
  • Ability to lift up to but not limited to 50 lbs.
