This role is responsible for conceptualizing, developing and leading impactful strategies and tactics to further contribute and expand our leadership in the Wisconsin community. This role requires successful partnership, coordination, and communication with team members in a variety of departments including but not limited to Partnerships, Basketball Operations, Marketing, Communication, and Ticket Sales/Service to drive organization and partner goals. Additionally, the successful candidate in this role will build and maintain relationships with external parties, including, but not limited to, community-based organizations, foundation donors, government officials, and partnering organizations. 


  • Position the Milwaukee Bucks as a league-wide leader in corporate social responsibility and strategic philanthropy.
  • Develop and implement plans for player engagement in the community by working closely with basketball operations staff, players, agents and family members.
  • Responsible for day-to-day operational support and leadership with CSR department and Milwaukee Bucks Foundation
  • Oversee and drive added value for the Bucks Foundation event programming/fundraising efforts.
  • Ensure continued success, expansion, and evolution of CSR programs, including, NBA Cares initiative, partner initiatives, and employee programs.
  • Collaborate, communicate, influence, and build consensus among senior leadership and key partners to advance CSR and Foundation policies and programs.
  • Lead creation of impactful internal and external communications to influence and inspire action from others and ensure long-lasting support for the CSR strategy (includes Foundation Annual Report, Bucks social media).
  • Drive Bucks Alumni/Ambassador strategies of engagement
  • Advise senior management on CSR initiatives, community issues and all policy topics relating to Bucks key pillars.
  • Build relationships with key community and business leaders through meetings, entertaining and responsiveness to requests while maximizing team business opportunities.
  • Act as team spokesperson at various community and related functions.
  • Serve on community boards and committees to represent the Bucks organization.
  • Identify board involvement opportunities for senior leadership.  
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager.


  • Bachelor’s degree required in a related field; Master’s degree a plus!
  • Strong collaboration and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills including negotiating and consensus development.
  • Event management experience.
  • 5 – 7 years of fundraising experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of management experience, including demonstrated team development skills.
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
  • Presents self in professional manner and have ability to interact with all levels of organization and external contacts.
  • Resourcefulness – adapts to change in the work environment, manages competing demands and is able to handle frequent changes.
  • Proficient digital literacy – including all Microsoft Office software programs.
  • Previous experience managing department budget.
  • Ability to work irregular hours including nights, weekends, holidays.
  • Ability to attend company events, travel as needed, and attend all home games.
