Title: Arena Event Payroll Specialist  

Class: Full-time, Hourly, Non-Exempt

Reports to: Senior Vice President of Finance

Location: Fiserv Forum

Summary:

The Event Payroll Specialist will be responsible for day-to-day administrative tasks to support the Finance and Event Operations departments.  The ideal candidate will work closely with the Senior Vice President of Finance, Vice President of Event Operations, and Payroll Manager in coordinating electronic timesheet data for payroll purposes, including data entry and reconciling event time records.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and implement procedures for processing biweekly timekeeping records accurately, efficiently and on time.
  • Ensure accurate recordkeeping of timekeeping data.
  • Work closely with the unions for timesheet adjustments, discrepancies and backpay.
  • Follow all payroll & HR rules and regulations.
  • Assist with ABI MasterMind maintenance functions as directed.
  • Act as a point of contact for payroll and respond to union related inquiries.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in HR or payroll processing.
  • Working knowledge of ABI MasterMind, or similar scheduling and timekeeping system(s) is plus!
  • Ability and dedication to maintain highly confidential information.
  • Work irregular schedule to ensure event reconciliation is completed in a timely manner. Work time periods (in addition to daytime periods) could occur during nighttime, on the weekends or holidays.
  • Strong project management, teamwork, and organizational skills, and high level of attention to details.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to navigate organizations to build relationships and garner support.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross functional work teams and establish rapport with others.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on business writing skills.
  • Be proficient in MS Office (Excel, PP, Word), and MS Outlook.
